Most of my life I lived near the ocean. When I didn't, I longed for it. The ocean has it's own personality. It can be calm or tempestuous. Thus the name, "Tempest". When the water is moody, so is the sky. It's captivating. Water is so captivating as it is always changing from day to day or even moment by moment.
This painting is on a canvas panel, framed in a barn wood-like frame that I hand-washed with white paint to pick up the highlights in the waves.
